Extended Description
--------------------
Any fans of the UT DM-Gothic is sure to love this one! I have always liked DM-Gothic for the way that the textures and architexture all come together to form a really believable and shadowy map. In this level I have combined all of those elements again into a level that plays good and looks unbelievable. You be the judge :)
Author's Notes
--------------
I must start by saying that I am very pleased with this map! In my first map DM-Maze I wasn't comfortable enough with the editor to do some of the things I wanted to do from the start. My knowledge with the program has increased tenfold by the time I started this level and it shows. Playability is really nice on this level (this map was made on a Celeron 400 with a Voodoo3 video card running at 1024 by 768 resolution and on a time run I would average 20 to 40 fps with bots). Bots use this level really well, they will use lifts, open doors, swim, etc and with the overall level layout expect a nice frag-fest. I would recommend 2-10 players for this map, and all time test were made with 5 bots. This level includes a texture pack and I just want to clarify that I DO NOT take credit for the artwork. Those images are under copyright law by their respective owners.
The reason for the version 1.1 is we had to re-work the level by hand to fix "ghost" texturepack problems. we still cant get the pool trap to give credit for killing bots in it(not sure if that can be done with this kind of trap) also bots wont see the trigger for the pool trap as a trap and hence wont use it. these are problems we know of, tried to fix, and after days of trying think that it cant be done with a mover squish trap. other than that weve tested, tested and tested some more, FINNALY got rid of an annoying bsp problem, and as it sits now(other than the bots use and credit for trap) the level is bug free.
A very special thanks once again to Mysticdwagon who helped me greatly in DM-Maze and in this level as well. His work was a hard one to say the least (take a look at the pool room ceiling, ALL those textures had to be aligned by eye and he did one hell of a job!). He was also responsible for the "pool trap", the nuke room doors, bot AI, various item placement, alot of texture alignment and great ideas! Thanks again dude it's all done now (hehe until i need ya next time =P). So enjoy and see ya on the next one...
One more special thanks to Wolf, without his aid the pool trap would NOT work on bots at all.
